Mango Tree, Bangkok - Prepared by Thaiaholic
Travel Period: March 2010

Another famous Thai restaurant that adjusts the tasty Thai food to meet westerner’s taste.

Mango Tree is located near the famous red light district of the city. Relax!!! it’s just near the zone not in the zone. Nestled in a refurbished house that has limited seats to offer which makes this place crowded when it’s full house.

Everyone in the restaurant surely can speak English because 95% of customers are foreigners. They offer various kinds of Thai selection. Their photo menu is totally helpful for those who are clueless about Thai cuisine. Either dining indoor or outdoor you will be attended by their tons of waiter and waitress.

I ordered a few dishes of appetizer and main course. Overall the food is too mild and a bit sweet for Asian tongue but of course it is good to those who can’t stand the heat of spicy flavor. I do not dislike this place but not my favorite either. But if you are Thai cuisine newbie then this could be the right place to experience a touch of Thai cuisine.

Located in soi Tantawan on Surawong road near Le Meridien Bangkok Hotel.
